New Hire Announcement: Client Advisor Matthew Keller

Join us in welcoming the newest SJFS Client Advisor, Matthew Keller! Before SJFS, Matthew served as a missionary with FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, serving students in his role on campus.

Get to know Matthew below, and welcome to the team!

Where are you from, and where did you go to college?

I am a native son of New Orleans, Louisiana.  I earned a Banking & Finance degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

What drew you to StJFS? What made you want to join their team and work to further Catholic education?

What drew me to SJFS was its mission.  As a Client Advisor here at SJFS, I’ll be able to enable principals, pastors, and other Church leaders to focus more directly on the people that have been placed in their care instead of spending a majority of their time administrating. This is a worthy cause and I am honored to be able to help SJFS undertake it!

What’s a big “win” you’ve been involved with that has had an impact on a parish, Diocese, or Catholic school?

During my time as a campus missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), I led a mission trip of almost 20 students to Gallup, New Mexico.  While there, we served the poor and homeless in the area, spent time with Jesus in the sacraments, and grew together in authentic Christian fellowship.

What is it like being part of the StJFS team? How would you describe the culture and people you work with?

The team here at SJFS is dispersed across the country, but you wouldn’t know it if you sat in on a weekly check-in. The culture is tight-knit, and the people are authentic. We’re all working towards the same goal: the betterment of financial administration in the Catholic Church.

What are your goals for your time at StJFS?

My main goal as a Client Advisor at SJFS is to provide my clients with excellent customer service as well as timely and accurate financial information.

What do you do in your time away from the office?

I spend time with my wife (we just had 1 year wedding anniversary!), friends, and family. I also like to read, specifically anything that I can find truth, beauty, and goodness in. Outside of that, I’m either taking a long walk around my neighborhood or watching baseball.
