Our Board of Directors
Fr. Brendan McGuire
Co-ChairFr. Brendan McGuire, SJFS co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, is the pastor of St. Simon Church and School and Special Advisor to Bishop Oscar Cantú of the Diocese of San Jose. St. Simon Parish has over 1,700 registered families and operates a Pre-K through eighth grade where 95% of graduates advance to attend the college prep high school of their choice.
Before being ordained a priest in 2000, Fr. Brendan was Executive Director of PCMCIA, the PC Card trade association that promoted the international computer standard for laptop computers. He has an STB and Master’s degree in theology from St. Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park, CA. He also has an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Math from Trinity College, Dublin. He attended the Executive Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a native of Ireland and the youngest of twelve children.
Fr. Brendan is a regular speaker on Stewardship, Forgiveness, and Parish Leadership for parish retreats and diocesan clergy gatherings and is an author of three books on Sunday homilies, in the process of writing three more books.
Patrick Dupuis
Co-ChairPatrick Dupuis has been fortunate to experience a broad and global career. He has held CFO or Sr. Executive roles employed by, or consulting with, great companies such General Electric, BJC Healthcare, PayPal and Hellman & Friedman. Patrick oversaw the accelerated growth, separation from eBay, and Nasdaq listing of PayPal where he was CFO between 2010 and 2016. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of Nominating and Compensation Committee of Wipro Inc, in India.
Patrick has been engaged with multiple community organizations such as Catholic Charities of Santa Clara, Housing Development Corporation, Housing Alliance of Los Altos or Stanford Spiritual Care. An avid learner since childhood, he has built his career and his life on developing talent, projects, and organizations so that they may reach their full potential.
Patrick is a native of France where he received a Masters in Business Administration and Management from EM Lyon. He and his family have lived in the US since 1991 in 5 different states from East to West over those 30+ years.
Dan Warmenhoven
Daniel J. Warmenhoven is the former executive chairman (2009 – 2014) and CEO (1994 – 2009) of NetApp. Under Dan‘s leadership, NetApp grew to become a multibillion-dollar company and a recognized market leader in networked storage, a concept the company pioneered. Dan led the company’s initial public offering in November 1995. In August 2009, Dan received the Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce.
He is a director of Bechtel Group, Diskover, Lumana, SDO, Weka and Zentera. Dan also serves on the board of Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit High School.
In June 2007, Dan received an honorary degree from Santa Clara University for his dedication to global business and technology leadership and in 2006 was named one of the “50 Most Powerful People in Networking” by Network World. In 2004, he won the prestigious “National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and in 2001 BusinessWeek named Dan one of its “Top 25 Managers” for the year.
Previously, Dan served as chairman, president, and CEO of Network Equipment Technologies (N.E.T.), a telecommunications manufacturer. He is a veteran of Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP), where he held senior management positions, including general manager of the Information Networks group. Prior to working at HP, Dan was employed for 13 years at IBM Corporation.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, with honors, from Princeton University.
Don McGovern
Donald A. McGovern, Jr. (Don) is a highly accomplished financial executive and seasoned board director with extensive expertise in audit, governance, compensation, and securities matters, particularly in public and private companies.
He retired in 2013 as Vice Chairman and Global Assurance Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), after a 39-year career with the firm. In this role, he served on PwC’s Global Network Executive Team and previously as Managing Partner of the Silicon Valley Office (2001–2007). He was also a member and past lead director of PwC’s US Board of Partners and Principals, as well as a member of PwC’s Global Board. As a high-technology industry assurance partner, Don led engagements for numerous public and pre-IPO companies, advising on SEC reporting, over 35 initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and divestitures. He is a designated financial expert under U.S. SEC rules.
Don currently serves as an independent director on the board of Cars Commerce (Cars.com)
(NYSE: CARS), where he chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Compensation
Committee.

In addition to his professional roles, Don is committed to community service, serving on the boards of The Santa Lucia Preserve Company (Carmel, CA) and The Catholic Community Foundation of Santa Clara County (San Jose, CA). Don brings deep financial acumen, audit oversight experience, and a proven track record of governance in complex, regulated environments to the St. Joseph Financial Services Board of Directors. His background aligns closely with the organization’s mission to provide advanced accounting and financial services to Catholic dioceses, parishes, schools, and ministries, ensuring strong stewardship and compliance.
Dr. Veronica Alonzo
Veronica Alonzo, Ed.D., is a highly experienced leader in Catholic education who formerly served as the Associate Superintendent for the Diocese of Dallas. She brings 28 years of dedicated service across the Dioceses of Austin and Dallas.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education, she began her career as a middle school teacher and holds both a master’s and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Her extensive experience in K-12 and professional formation
has given her a deep commitment to mission integration, strategic planning, and fostering Catholic values in all educational practices. Since returning to Dallas in 2016, she was instrumental in enhancing the academic and spiritual growth of the diocesan community.
A first-generation high school and college graduate, Dr. Alonzo’s personal values of hard work and faith align perfectly with Catholic organizational missions, including healthcare. She currently serves as the System Director of Ministry Identity and Spirituality at CHRISTUS Health, where she extends the healing ministry of Jesus Christ through her faith-filled leadership.
Kathleen Ryan
Kathy has been recognized as a thought leader, innovator and strategist, building upon her extensive CEO and CFO experience (having worked with more than 50 Silicon Valley startups). She created an innovative business model for RoseRyan, with flexible work arrangements coupled with a highly supportive, values-based culture. She spawned new companies as opportunities arose, including Bizinta, our practice management software subsidiary for professional services firms. In 2019 Kathy and team formed another consulting firm, Kukuza Associates, which specializes in cannabis accounting and finance, to help companies professionalize their finance functions.
Kathy was director of finance at Quantum and tax manager at Price Waterhouse before starting RoseRyan with a colleague, Sue Macias.
Keith Parsons
Keith Parsons is Chief Operating Officer of Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services (CFCS), a national Catholic lay apostolate providing education, outreach, and professional funeral, cremation, and cemetery services in fidelity to the teachings of the Church.
Previously, Keith served the Archdiocese of Denver for nearly 11 years, joining in February 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2019, overseeing the business and operational functions of the archdiocese. Earlier, he held senior finance and accounting leadership roles including Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Partner at RSM McGladrey, Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Corporate Controller of Crocs, Inc. Keith earned a B.S. in Business (Accounting) from Indiana University. He and his wife, Angela, live in Auburn, California with their five children and an Australian Shepherd. Keith is an avid trail runner.
Leticia Oseguera
Leticia Oseguera is the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of San Diego. She has 21 years of experience in education serving in a variety of roles in public and private education. Most recently, she spent five years as the principal of the only Catholic school in San Diego with a dual language program, Mater Dei Juan Diego Academy. Additionally, Leticia is a member of the administration team for the overall K-12 Mater Dei Catholic organization. She spent 14 years as a classroom teacher at the high school level in public and Catholic schools.
A product of bilingual education, Leticia migrated with her family from Michoacán, México, to the United States as an 8-year-old, and is committed to educating the next generation of bilingual, faith-filled, global leaders. She has a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from St. Thomas University, a master’s degree in education with an emphasis on second language acquisition from Claremont Graduate University, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature from the University of California, San Diego. As a life-long learner, Leticia recently completed a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard, and she has recently started her doctoral degree in Leadership in Education for Social Justice at Loyola Marymount University.
